This is one of the most common food intolerances. The reason for this? The body has trouble breaking down and digesting lactose effectively. By the time we are 3 or 4 most of us have stopped producing the enzymes of lactase. The reason we don’t produce these enzymes anymore is because we really aren’t supposed to be having milk anymore. Is this starting to make sense why we don’t break down dairy well? Let’s not forget the dairy from cows that we are consuming as adults, is heated at high temperatures, making it even harder to digest because it is pasteurized.
A glass of milk can contain a cocktail of more than 20 hormones and chemicals, some of which occur naturally and some which will have been fed to the cow, such as antibiotics, anti-fungals, growth-promoters and painkillers.
Try cutting dairy for a month and see how your skin looks. If you are concerned about calcium, you can get this from green vegetables.
