Acne. The biggest confidence killer! We expect to deal with it only in our teens, however adults, more than ever are dealing with the daily struggles of acne & breakouts.

Acne can be caused my many different factors such as:

  • Hormones
  • Stress
  • Diet
  • Toxins
  • Medications

Acne is commonly treated with high strength treatments that can have an extreme reaction on the body. While we all want beautiful, clear, glowing skin, I can tell you that adjusting your daily habits towards a healthier lifestyle, is not only the safest option but it  is also the best long term option, not just for your skin but for your life overall. 

While a lot of the harsh treatments being subscribed or sold to people with acne, who are just looking for some hope, light at the end of the tunnel, break from feeling down about their bad skin, are readily available, these treatments have been resported to result in the following:

  • Depression
  • Infalmmatory Bowel Disease
  • Thinning of the hair
  • Premature aged skin
  • Photosensitivity 
  • Headaches
  • Liver damage
  • Muscle pain

See how the words harsh and extreme are appropriate when discussing these treatments? I am sure you wouldn't want this, and we don't want this for you either.

I have spoken to countless women who have dealt with these and much more. Reactions to such treatments resulting in suicidal thoughts, constant joint pain, loss of friendships due to the extreme mood swings, swelling of the face and so much more.

Instead of taking the risk of your wellbeing, why not try taking a closer look into your daily intake of food and drinks? Much safer right? Let's dive into this some more


Firstly let's take a look at a few things you can implement to help with your acne.

  • Remove coloured drinks, no fizzy drinks!
  • Be sure to get 2 litres of water a day
  • Reduce your intake of animal protein (including eggs)
  • Minimize or reduce (ultimatley) processed foods
  • Cut out sugar (For sugar addicts, I understand this may seem impossible but how much do you want clear skin?)
  • Exercise
