Menopause, Everything You Need To Know.



Whether you are going through it, have been through it or waiting for it to start, you have probably heard that it is not the best experience and certaintly not a simple walk in the park, it is, to simply put it, shit. It's "that age" that is spoken about, that we all dread. But fact is, it is a part of your journey and you are not alone in this stage of your life. There are so many women who can relate to going through Menopause, so don't feel bad reaching out to those around you who are going through it. Go through it together and help each other, you will feel much better being able to talk to another like minded woman who just simply "gets it."

Menopause Meaning, What Is Menopause?

Menopause is a natural occurance that marks the end of a woman's reproductive years.

Menopause Age.

The average age is 51. The most common range is between 48-55 years. It is not uncommon for premature menopause.



Menopause Symptoms.

  • Hot Flushes
  • Hormonal Changes
  • Mood disturbances
  • Lack of energy
  • Sleep disturbance
  • Low libido
  • Night Sweats
  • Irregular Periods
  • Aches and pains


  • Fatigue

  • Anxiety

  • Memory loss

Early Menopause.

Premanture menopause can occure before the age of 40 years. This can be induced by chemotherapy or surgery.



Perimenopause is the period of a woman's life before she enters Menopause. At this stage, the ovaries begin to produce less estrogen. The average period of perimenopause is 4 years. Perimenopause ends when a woman has not had her period for 12 months.

Perimenopause Symptoms.

Symptoms that can occur in Perimenopause are similar to Menopause.

Why Menopause Matters

It matters simply because you are going through it and yes it is tough, but you will get through it. Think of it this way, you have had an incredible life, you have faced so many challenges, bumps in the road and you are still here after ALL that stuff, and you are an amazing woman for that, don't ever discount how far you have come and how strong you really are! You are going to take this on the best you can!

To help, please do the following:

  • Make a very clear habit of writing down 5 things you are grateful for, every single day.
  • Lean on those you love
  • Drink Lady Elixir at least twice a day
  • Practice yoga
  • Exercise
  • Meditate
  • Minimise alcohol intake
  • Eat well
  • Tell yourself what you love about yourself in the mirror everyday, you will be surprised by the results of this, you want to feel good, so treat yourself nothing short of amazing! You are an incredible woman.
