Why breakfast is so important for weight loss

breakfast weightless

Whether you are completely skipping breakfast or enjoy a heavy breakfast, you may want to read how this is affecting your journey towards a slimmer waistline.

We've all heard it "breakfast is the most important meal of the day" but why? There are thousands upon thousands of people who feel that eating breakfast makes them put on weight, so, why would it be recommend if it doesn't work for people? It's a matter of how these people are starting their day, what they are eating and the order they are eating it in.

Have you ever thought about the order your food goes in? How is your body going to absorb all the nutrients of fruit and vegetables if you are starting with a heavy food that takes so much longer to digest? The goodness in the vegetables, that is going in your stomach last, is just going to sit there and not be able to release is nutritional magic.

Here we go through the Light to Heavy way of eating. Meaning, you start with the light foods such as fruit and vegetables and finish with foods that take longer to digest.

One of the keys to a healthy digestive system is eating Light to Heavy throughout the day. Eating in this manner allows you to eat foods in their most digestible order so lighter foods like fruits and vegetables don’t get trapped behind heavier foods such as protein and starches. When foods become trapped in your digestive system, they begin to back up like a congested traffic jam, and efficient and fast digestion is delayed.

Studies have shown that consuming more energy at breakfast inhibited fat oxidation throughout the day.

Key take away here? Eating a heavier breakfast actually holds back fat burning.

The Light to Heavy philosophy helps in a number of ways:

    • It allows you to detoxify naturally and extend your nighttime detoxification into the morning hours.
    • It prevents foods from improperly digesting when getting stuck behind heavy foods that digest more slowly, which can result in bloating, excess toxicity/waste storage and ultimately weight gain.

It allows your body to use less energy for digestion, giving you more energy for health, vitality, and beauty.
